Meet Dr. Tanja, our seasoned small animal veterinarian who has been a valued member of our team at the Canadian Veterinary Hospital since 2012. Her consultations and interactions with patients and their families showcase her unwavering passion for inclusive animal care and progressive veterinary practice. With a lifelong love for animals that started during her childhood, surrounded by cats, dogs, and birds, caring for them became her calling. She is committed to improving the lives of pets in Qatar and takes the time to build relationships with both her furry patients and their families.
Dr. Tanja has a wealth of technical experience, having earned her BSc in Microbiology and Biochemistry from the University of South Africa and her degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pretoria. She has also worked at several small animal clinics and welfare organizations in South Africa.
Dr. Tanja’s expertise in infectious diseases, dentistry, avian medicine, laboratory, soft tissue surgery, and client education sets her apart as a remarkable veterinarian. Her warm and loving nature and attention to detail enrich the experience of our patients and their families at CVH.
When she’s not caring for animals, Dr. Tanja loves exploring nature and traveling with her husband, three children, and her rescued pets. We are honoured to have Dr. Tanja on our team and we are confident she will continue to provide excellent service to our patients and their families for years to come.
